Trevor Hill joined the Audi South Africa on 1 June 2017 and realised a lifelong dream of coming back to his country of birth, to head up the Audi brand after leaving in 1997. During his international assignments, Trevor worked in Germany, Japan, China, South Korea and the Middle East, gaining invaluable experience in the Audi business in these international markets.
After three successful years at the helm, Trevor’s contract comes to an end on 31 August after which he will return to Audi’s global headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany. Trevor will be taking up a new position within the Audi Sport division from 1 September 2020.
Trevor has been instrumental in leading the Audi Brand in South Africa over the past three years through key brand and business successes. Despite the challenges faced in the premium automotive market, Trevor has expertly navigated the brand to maintain a strong market share and Dealer profitability performance.
During his tenure, the Audi brand image credentials have made a good stride in terms of recognition within the premium segment and he has also been responsible for prioritising the introduction of key products to the local market in order to refresh Audi’s model range. Trevor also re-introduced Audi’s participation in local motorsport where the brand had subsequently won the Global Touring Cars (GTC) Championship for Drivers and Manufacturers in 2017 and 2018.
